Research plays a vital role in improving our knowledge and understanding of the world in which we live. None of the advances made in science and technology today would be possible without the years of hard work and pain staking research that takes place to underpin innovation.

PARABOLIC FLIGHTS

  • Conducted experiments in 2 ESA Parabolic Flight Campaigns to date 
  • Used as a means of simulating microgravity
  • Each parabola gives around a 25 second period of weightlessness
  • Used to train astronauts for future space flight
  • Used to conduct short term microgravity & technological investigations

  • Organize & participate in international telelectures
  • Involved in remote health assistance projects in Brazil with Amazon Indian communities
  • Develop systems, hardware, tools and software needed for health assistance
  • Conduct eHealth & Telemedicine projects
  • Provide specialist opinion & consultancy for eHealth & Telemedicine venture

  • Participated in international study group related to passenger medical safety guidelines on
    commercial space tourism flights
  • Research relating to aerospace physiology training
  • Conducted series of physiological studies involving  different gravitational force simulations
  • Hardware development for microgravity simulations including body suspension device, tilt table 
    and clinostats
  • Involved in hypergravity simulation studies

  • Experienced in conducting physiological research involving use of hypoxia
  • Est. in Brazil, aviation pilot training in hypoxia using inspiration of reduced level O₂ gases
  • Practiced in simulating hypoxia using hypobaric chambers
  • Experienced in teaching theory and conducting practical lessons relating to hypoxia
