Marvellous news for everyone at the MicroG this week with publication of a special issue of the American Journal of Medical and Biological Research, dedicated completely to the work carried out by our research team and collaborators.

The American Journal of Medical and Biological Research is an international, peer-reviewed, and open access journal that publishes high-quality research articles covering all areas of medical and biological research.

We are privileged to be involved in authorship of all 5 articles in this special volume, which highlights the breadth of research that takes place. Limited to a maximum of 5 papers, we picked one article from 5 important areas of research at the MicroG: aerospace biomechanics, engineering, physiology and pharmacy, and a contribution from the MicroG Buenos Aires, a recent and welcome addition to the MicroG network.

The articles, in English, are open access, so click on each of the titles below and you will be able to download the full paper in pdf format.

Muscle Activity during the Performance of CPR in Simulated Microgravity and Hypogravity

A New Electronically Monitored Centrifuge for the Analysis of Plant Growth in Simulated Hypergravity

A Gender comparison of Cardiovascular Responses to Lower Body Negative Pressure Exposure

Impact of Simulated Microgravity on Nanoemulsion Stability – A Preliminary Research

Integrated Planetary Outpost Simulation to Assess Crew Psychophysiological Response as a First Approach to a Lunar/Mars Manned Base Settlement

The above are only a snapshot of the research activities taking place at the MicroG and MicroG Network centres. Unfortunately there was not enough publishing space to select something from all the areas that deserve to be highlighted, but this entire issue is dedicated to team members from all the laboratories that contribute to make the MicroG the success it is today - many thanks to one and all.
